New Zealand Powerball has an incredible 14 prize divisions, seven of which, including the jackpot, require the Powerball additional number drawn from a second drum. However, the New Zealand lotto also selects a seventh ball from the main drum as a bonus number, and this helps three out of six Powerball prizes and boost a further three prizes on its own!
Wednesday draws at 8:20 GMT and the Saturday draws at 08:00am GMT
To win the New Zealand Powerball jackpot, players must successfully match six numbers as well as the Powerball additional number. Players can win secondary prizes by matching the bonus ball. There are no taxes on NZ Powerball lottery prizes. The lottery has a minimum jackpot of NZ$ 5 million and a jackpot cap of NZ$ 50 million. If that cap is reached, a "Must Be Won" draw takes place. If no ticket manages to match the six main numbers and the Powerball in that draw, the prize money rolls down to the next highest division prize division with winning tickets.
